The Chiaretto identifies the particular type of rosé wine produced on Lake Garda. On the Brescia side of the Benaco, it is made through the assembly of four different red grape varieties: Groppello, Barbera, Marzemino and Sangiovese, which together make it possible to obtain an elegant and balanced wine. The origin of Chiaretto dates back to 1896 whenPompeo Gherardo Molmenti created this wineusing the rosé vinification technique, learned during his travels in France. Today, the history of Garda joins that of Visconti, which offers a Chiaretto of ancient tradition. The very brief contact of the must with the skins, from which the typical pale pink color derives, makes it a wine of great delicacy and able to lend itself to the most imaginative combinations. Tasting: Bright color, pale pink reminiscent of rose petals, strokes with violet reflections. On the nose, the floral notes of rose combine in a harmonious bouquet with those of wild strawberries and small red fruits, with light hints of powder. The delicacy of the nose is reconfirmed in the mouth, with a balance enhanced by the flavor, which cannot be missing in a Garda wine. Consumed young, starting from the months of January and February following the harvest, it is appreciated for its sometimes vinous character, it is ideal paired with grilled fish, roasted white meats and semi-aged cheeses from Garda Brescia. It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 10 ° degrees.
